Rivr is an AI robotics company building autonomous solutions to automate the "last 100 yards" of parcel delivery. Founded by Minkyu Kim and James Giammatteo, the company is developing quadrupedal, "dog-like" robots designed to carry packages from a delivery vehicle to a customer's doorstep.
In a significant move, Rivr launched a pilot program in May 2025 with logistics firm Veho in Austin, Texas, to test its robots in real-world residential environments. The company's mission is to solve the most inefficient part of the delivery chain, enhancing speed and reducing costs for logistics providers.
Rivr develops its own proprietary AI and autonomous navigation stack for its robots. The AI platform is engineered to handle complex, unstructured outdoor environments, using advanced computer vision and sensor fusion. This allows the robot to safely navigate sidewalks, walk up stairs, traverse lawns, and dynamically avoid obstacles to ensure reliable package delivery.
Rivr has raised at least $7.5 million USD in a seed funding round.
